Alia Bhatt & Ranveer Singh take Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani on floors; Karan Johar expresses gratitude

In the beginning of July this year, filmmaker Karan Johar announced that he is ready to return to the director’s chair for his next film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Starring Gully Boy pair Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead, the film is said to be a romantic comedy. Soon after the official announcement was made, Ranveer and Alia introduced fans to their on-screen family members. While Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan will be seen as the ‘bade log’ of Ranveer’s family, Shabana Azmi will portray the role of Alia’s on-screen relative.

Well Karan decided to make our Friday morning even brighter today by sharing another exciting piece of news. The team has begun shooting for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani! Along with a teaser of all the behind the scenes fun, KJo expressed his gratitude in the caption which read: “The day is finally here & I have so many feelings going on in my head but what emerges at the top is - gratitude! As we begin our kahani ka first schedule, seeking all your pyaar & aashirvaad! It’s time to roll! #RockyAurRaniKiPremKahani #RRKPK.”

In the clip, we got a brief glimpse of Ranveer and Alia’s first look as Rocky and Rani. While Ranveer is sporting an animal print shirt with a hairdo similar to his character in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Alia has donned sarees with gorgeous blouses. She looks breathtaking and the nose piercing that her character is sporting along with the bindi on her forehead adds a tadka to the elegant look! This short teaser has definitely left us intrigued.
