Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh To Reunite On Screen For A Karan Johar Helmed Love Story?

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are gearing up for an on-screen reunion if reports are anything to go by. The Gully Boy co-stars who lit up the silver screen with their stellar performance in 2018 are said to be reuniting for a Dharma Productions offering which will be helmed by Karan Johar himself according to a report.

The two Bollywood stars at the top of their game and busy with back-to-back projects individually but it seems they have given their nod to a romantic drama according to Peeping Moon. Incidentally, the last full-length feature film directed by Karan was also a romance, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, back in 2017. Since then the filmmaker has directed two short films for the Netflix anthologies Lust Stories and Ghost Stories.

Karan’s next announced project was the lavish scale period drama Takht of which Ranveer and Alia were both a part. While the film was supposed to hit the floors in early 2020, it never went beyond its grand announcement. There are no major updates on the project yet and it seems Karan in the meantime is prepping for working on love story instead.

There is no major announcement about this love story yet but if it is indeed happening it will be the first time Karan will be directing Ranveer Singh for a film.
