Alia Bhatt Sends Cameras Into A Frenzy At Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Birthday Celebrations After Gangubai Kathiawadi Teaser

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 58th birthday celebration got grander as the filmmaker released the teaser of his upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi announced the release date of the movie. The teaser starring Alia Bhatt as the mafia queen of Mumbai won over the nation and now the fans can’t wait for the film to arrive in theatres in July.

Later in the day, Sanjay Leela Bhansali celebrated his birthday amidst friends and family in Juhu and Alia Bhatt joined the filmmaker at the party looking ravishing in white. Gangubai Kathiawadi is the first collaboration between Alia and Bhansali and the duo is already proving to have an imposing partnership.

Alia and SLB also posed for the shutterbugs together and the actress even did her signature Gangubai Kathiawadi namaste sending cameras clicking away in frenzy. Another video from inside the party shows Bhansli blows his birthday candles and Alia standing close by as the entire party sang ‘Happy Birthday’ for the filmmaker.

The teaser of Gangubai Kathiawadi has earned Alia praise from all corners including stars like Priyanka Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and several other Bollywood actors. The movie based on a chapter from S Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ which tells the story of ‘Madam of Kamathipura’ who was a sex worker with powerful connections in the underworld in the 1960’s. Gangubai Kathiawadi arrives in theatres on July 30.
