Alia Bhatt Starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi To Resume Shoot From June End; Sets Had Not Been Demolished

When the Maharashtra government passed orders for resuming the shoots in Mumbai, it had been said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, starring Alia Bhatt would be the first one to go on shoot. Well, it seems like the plan remains and the film would resume the shoot from June end. What’s more, the lavish sets of the film, that was earlier reported to have been demolished, still stands strong and would need minor repairs before the shoot resumes.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, a source close to the production was quoted saying, “Apparently, earlier the filmmaker was definitely looking to demolish the sets, but later on, they decided against it. The set is very much standing tall and would need a little repair work before the cast resumes shoot. Makers are in the process of acquiring required permission to resume shooting. Most probably, if everything goes right, makers are hopeful to resume shoot by the third week of June."

Well, all we can hope for the film is to finish in timeand release on its scheduled date in September. Alia Bhatt, who would play the titular character, has signed a number of other films as well and she would face quite some work pressure to finish the shoots. She will also be seen in Bhrahmastra, Sadak 2 and Takht.
