Alia Bhatt’s Character In Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi To Be Whitewashed?

Alia Bhatt is prepping up hard to play the character of Gangubai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next, Gangubai Kathiawadi. Even though Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah  had been shelved indefinitely, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s collab with Alia is happening and given the kind of role that has been offered to the actress, we are already excited! Alia will essay the role of a prostitute turned one of the fiercest underworld don and the character would be drawn from Hussain Zaidi’s book, Queens Of Mumbai. But looks like, there will be some major changes in the character.

If a report by Mumbai Mirror is to be believed, then Sanjay Leela Bhansali would put his signature style and make some major changes in the script. And guess what, the publication has reported that Alia’s character might also be whitewashed.

Bhansali might just go soft on this topic and instead of focusing on the murky part of Gangubai’s life, he would have “the underbelly part of the film...glossed over.” And Bhansali would also put his signature glamorous effect in this film as well.

Well, it is only with the release that we would probably know howthe film would turn out to be and whether this report is at all correct. Gangubai Kathiawadi is scheduled to release on 11^th September 2020. She will also be a part of Takht and Sadak 2.
