Ayushmann Khurana and Amitabh Bachchan's debut collaboration Gulabo Sitabo is something the fans have been looking forward to since the project was announced by filmmaker Shoojit Sircar. While Amitabh Bachchan has now retained his Shehnshah status in Bollywood for decades, Ayushmann Khurrana has accumulated a fan base of his own with his distinctive choice of films.

As Gulabo Sitabo became the first big film today to release on OTT during the lockdown, Ayushmann Khurrana summed up his thoughts on working with Amitabh, a dream come true for any actor, in a post and wrote about the day he first watched the superstar’s film Hum in a theatre and knew he had to become an actor.

The former TV actor mentioned how he felt ‘I have arrived’ after shooting for a TV project at Mukesh Mills where Bachchan’s iconic song Jumma Chumma was shot. Overwhelmed at being able to finally share screen space with the actor who inspired million Ayushmann thanked Shoojit Sircar for the opportunity.

Big B too had some truly wonderful things to say about Ayushmann in an interview with Filmfare where he said, “Ayushmann is a most promised actor, of immense standing and calibre. I am honoured to have had an opportunity to work with him and learn. It is important to have an understanding colleague both on and off camera. Ayushmann has been more than that. I hope that he felt the same.”

The film is now screening on Amazon Prime Video.
