One of the biggest, most adored and popular superstars of the Hindi film industry, Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on 30th April at the H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. He was rushed to the hospital a day before after he had some breathing difficulties, but could not make it. It was Amitabh Bachchan who broke the news on social media with a heartbreaking message which read: “He's GONE .. ! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed!” The actor’s family was devastated and the nation was heartbroken.
Today, Big B decided to take a walk down memory lane and took to his official social media handle to share a special post remembering his friend and co-star. Along with a candid picture of his son and actor Abhishek Bachchan, filmmaker Karan Johar, television star Vivian Dsena and Rishi Kapoor at an event, Amitabh penned a heartfelt caption which read: “No one but no one could lipsync a song as perfectly as Rishi Kapoor .. just look at the passion in his expression .. incredible .. even at this age and at an event the genuineness is simply unforgettable .. !!” Seeing Chintu ji doing what he loved on the stage will surely leave you feeling nostalgic.
Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor’s friendship goes way back and so does their professional relationship. The two worked together in many hit films such as 102 Not Out, Naseeb, Amar Akbar Anthony and created magic each time they shared the screen.
