The extremely talented and graceful Saroj Khan bid a final adieu to the world on 3rd July. While the entire nation is still in shock, the film industry is devastated after losing yet another gem. Among other celebs, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan took to his social media handle to remember the first time he saw the industry’s beloved Masterji. He shared, “.. and Saroj ji in the crowd of dancers in a song .. her subtle grace when she moved .. at one point I saw her , quite alarmingly , finding the foetus had shifted in her stomach and she simply unabashedly pushed it into place , and carried on .. dancing .. .. and then over the years .. she excelled and attained the podium title of Dance Director.”

Kajol also took to her official handle to share a beautiful photograph with Masterji. The actress, who worked with Saroj ji in films such as Ishq, Baazigar and one the most iconic Bollywood movies ever, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, expressed how overwhelming it was to watch her dance. She stated, “RIP to the most talented coolest choreographer ever! She taught me sooooo much that I always used everywhere in so many other ways. When she danced it was like watching a whole book ! Everything that she wanted to say was there so clearly on her face and in her body language . Even later when she grew older whenever we met I could see that mischief and affection and sheer love for her work. Love u Sarojji and be at peace knowing that u are loved and will always be remembered.”

Saroj Khan began her journey in the entertainment world at the age of 3 as a child artist and went on to become one of the most respected choreographers of the Hindi film industry. She choreographed over 2,000 songs and worked with some of the biggest personalities of Bollywood. A few weeks ago, Masterji was admitted to a hospital in Bandra after she complained of breathing difficulty. She breathed her last on 3rd July due to a sudden cardiac arrest.
