Amitabh Bachchan To Begin Shooting For Sooraj Barjatya’s Next In February, Right After Finishing Mayday

It was recently revealed that Amitabh Bachchan is all set to collaborate with popular filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya for the first time ever. Their much-talked about film will be an out and out family drama in which the superstar will play the family patriarch. Currently Big B is busy filming Mayday, co-starring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, Angira Dhar and Aakanksha Singh. However, as soon as he’s done with the thriller film, he will kick-start the shoot of Barjatya’s project.

In a report shared by Bollywood Hungama, a source revealed that Big B loved the script and was bowled over by its ‘rootedness and simplicity’ when Sooraj went to narrate the story to him and immediately got on board. The source went on to add, “The actor is currently filming for MayDay. Once he finishes work on Ajay Devgn’s thriller, he’ll move on to Sooraj Barjatya’s next, in February. It is expected to be a 60-day schedule. Only after completing this film will he move on to Vikas Bahl’s film, reportedly titled Deadly.”

Other than Mayday, Deadly and Barjatya’s film, Big B has many other exciting projects in his kitty such as Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Chehre co-starring Emraan Hashmi and Rhea Chakraborty, and Nagraj Manjule’s Jhund, which will also star Sairat fame Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru.
