    Amitabh Bachchan waived his fee for Chehre after being intrigued by the script, even bore his own travel expenses

    Amitabh Bachchan is returning to the big screen with the Rumi Jafry directorial Chehre after the Covid-19 pandemic struck the nation in 2020 and shut down theatres. While the film has been much talked about as the superstar and Emraan Hashmi’s debut collaboration on screen, reports are now claiming that Big B has done the film for free.

    While the trailer of this thriller has received a lot of love and attention online, a PeepinMoon report claims that Amitabh Bachchan was so impressed by the script of the film when was first for this project that he voluntarily decided to waive his fee for the project. The actor has been created for a ‘friendly appearance’ in Chehre since he was not paid for the project.

    "To avoid any trouble while filing the tax books we decided to give the friendly appearance credits. To Amit Ji", Anand Pandit, told the portal. The producer further told, "Sir was so professional and committed that he also put his own money to commute". 

    Apparently, Big B also took care of his chartered travel expense when the production moved to an international location to shoot a schedule of Chehre.

    The makers of Chehre waited patiently to release the project in theatres and the film is finally arriving in cinemas on 27 August. The project also stars, Annu Kapoor, Krystle D’Souza, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Raghubir Yadav, Siddhanth Kapoor, and Rhea Chakraborty in key roles.
