Ananya Opens Up About Her Film With Deepika; Reveals Why She Was Upset When Tiger Danced With Alia

After winning hearts with her spectacular performances in Student of the Year 2, alongside Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria, and Pati, Patni Aur Woh, co-starring Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar, the gorgeous and incredibly talented Ananya Panday is all set to wow the audience with Shakun Batra’s next. Also featuring Bollywood’s reigning queen Deepika Padukone and Gully Boy star Siddhant Chaturvedi, the film is reportedly a romantic drama which boasts of a unique, exciting story-line.

Talking about the project in a chat with Bollywood Hungama, Ananya shared that she’s very excited to learn from everybody on the set. She shared, “I think it's a very interesting film. I don't think there's been anything like that in the Hindi film industry and we've had a bunch of readings and workshops before the lockdown, and it's going to be a very interesting experience for me, because I'm just going to be sitting there with my book and writing everything that I'm learning from Shakun or Deepika or just everyone around on that set. I'm going to take this film like I'm going back to school and I just want to absorb and learn as much as I can.”

Ananya also shared a pretty interesting memory from the set of her debut film SOTY2. Apparently, the beauty was upset that her co-star Tiger got to dance with ex-student Alia Bhatt in a special track titled Hook Up Song. Wondering what the reason is? Well, Ananya also wanted a chance to groove with one of the ex-students – Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra or her favorite Alia! She stated, “Yes, I mean I love Sid and Varun and like obviously I would love to dance with them but I was so upset when Tiger got to dance with Alia because everyone knows that Alia is my favorite so I went and I used to sit on set and watch them dance and look at Punit that if you could make me pass in the background or do some step.”

Well we hope she gets the chance to work with Varun, Sidharth or Alia soon. Meanwhile, other than Shakun Batra’s film, Ananya has two more exciting projects in her kitty. She will next be seen in Khaali Peeli opposite Ishaan Khatter and will also share the big screen with South superstar Vijay Deverakonda for Puri Jagannadh's as-yet untitled multilingual film.
