Ananya Panday Remembers Her First Day, First Shot On The Sets Of Debut Film Student Of The Year 2

Ananya Panday is undoubtedly one of the most adored and sought-after star kids of Tinsel Town. The beauty began her journey in Bollywood with Karan Johar’s teen film Student of the Year 2, alongside the gorgeous Tara Sutaria and the very handsome Tiger Shroff. She won hearts with her spectacular portrayal of the sassy Shreya Randhawa and wowed the audience by her killer dance moves and acting skills, proving that she is here to slay!

In a recent chat with Mumbai Mirror, Ananya went down memory lane and remembered her first day and first shot on the sets of SOTY2. She shared, “Punit took me and Tara (Sutaria) to Mussoorie (where the film was shot) a few days earlier than everyone else. It was our first film and he wanted us to ease into it instead of feeling ambushed on the film's set. Our first shot was supposed to be for the song “Jatt Ludhiyane Da”. Punit had individually promised the three of us (Tiger, Tara and her) that all our first shots will be solo so that each one of us gets to savour it.”

Initially, things didn’t turn out the way they were planned. Ananya revealed, “Tiger's was a dance step, while Tara got a beauty shot. When it was my turn, it started raining. I got upset, thinking I wouldn't get to shoot, and that my first day was ruined. Everybody got to do their scene except me. Luckily, Punit changed mine into an indoor shot so everything worked out. For the scene, I was supposed to climb down a flight of stairs while recording myself, singing, on a phone. My mom (Bhavana Pandey) and Manish (Malhotra, designer and family friend) were there, and that made it really special for me. Manish has been there for a lot of actresses’ first shot. I just felt elated to be a part of that iconic list.”

After SOTY2, Ananya left her fans in awe with her second film Pati, Patni Aur Woh, also featuring Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar. Much to our delight, the actress has a pretty busy year planned ahead and the audience will soon get to see her shine again on the big screen in films like Khaali Peeli and Fighter.
