Ananya Pandey Enjoys Yet Another Good Weekend With Pati Patni Aur Woh After Student Of The Year 2

Ananya Pandey can well plan for celebrations. After an eventful debut with Student of the Year 2 earlier this year, she has now scored a success with Pati Patni aur Woh as well. While former was a much hyped launch pad, courtesy Karan Johar backing it up and bringing on the second installment of the franchise, latter was one film where she had to be pretty much on her own and demonstrate her acting prowess.

Well, that has happened indeed for the relative newbie, what with the film registering a strong weekend of 35.94  crores. While this is quite good and pretty much sets the film up for emerging as a very good success, for Ananya the stocks have further gone up. After all, she has pretty much made it two out of two, what with her debut release Student of the Year 2 also managing a good weekend of 38.83 crores.

Of course these are still early days for the actress and there is a lot more she would be required to bring on the table in films to follow. Still, in the times when some of the biggest of the films have proven to be disappointments and the actors have struggled to stay afloat, Ananya has managed to stay focused and done well in both her outings.

Just like it happens for all other actors as well, with or without having any Godfathers attached to them, even Ananya went through quite some scrutiny earlier this year when she was launched opposite Tiger Shroff in the Punit Malhotra directed film. However she took it all into her stride and made sure that her performance spoke the loudest. Not that it was required to be overtly nuanced but then there were no false notes that helped her stay afloat.

On the other hand Pati Patni aur Woh required her to play the part of a young woman who is relatively older than her, and that was challenging indeed. Still, she has managed to do well and this time around the critics have noticed the value that she has brought on the table. In a part that could easily have fallen off the tangent, Ananya kept the balance intact and delivered an earnest performance.

With the film's collections turning out to be quite well at the class as well as the mass centers, rest assured there would be a lot more that Ananya Pandey would be looking forward to once her Khaali Peeli with Ishaan Khattar releases on 12th June next year.
