Anjali Wasn't The First One To Reject Salman Khan's Aman In Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, These Bollywood Stars Preceded Her!

Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherji starrer Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is an unparallel modern day classic that gave us the first glimpse of Karan Johar’s genius as a filmmaker. However, move these poster stars of this coming of age, romantic drama Rahul, Anjali and Tina aside and you will find a huge fan base for Salman Khan’s Aman.

While 22 years later we still wonder how Anjali could ever have looked beyond the loyal and charming Aman who could be every girl’s dream come true, but then we have to add that she wasn’t the only one who rejected him. Karan Johar apparently had a hard time finding the perfect Aman for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai especially since all the stars he wanted to cast were in love with the word ‘no’.

The superstar of the present Salman Khan was finally gracious enough to say yes and while these were the stars who rejected Aman before him.

Aamir Khan - The star who has always been too careful about picking his film projects had straight-up refused Karan Johar as he did not want to play the second fiddle to Shah Rukh Khan.

Saif Ali Khan - Bollywood's nawab was the first choice for the role. The actor turned on the role and later admitted that he regrets rejecting the film. "Seriously, I must have been a nut case then," the actor said in an interview.

Chandrachur Singh - The actor who was one of the popular stars of the 90's took his own sweet time considering the project but ultimately came back with a 'no' for Karan Johar.

Ajay Devgn - Kajol aka Anjali's real-life boyfriend then and husband now Ajay too is said to have walked out of the film, rejecting Aman's role. Well, he can't complain or regret the movie since he got the girl in real life, right?

Salman Khan - The star, like everyone else on the list had initially rejected the film. Karan Johar no doubt was bogged down by this and after several rejections, Salman himself walked up to Karan and agreed to play Aman. He gets no brownie points for palying knight in shining armor since he refused the film in the first place but today it is hard to imagine anyone else in the role except him!
