Ankita Lokhande Finally Opens Up About Breakup With Sushant Singh Rajput, Reveals She Even Contemplated Ending Her Life

Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput were couple goals. The two met each on the sets of Pavitra Rishta and fans went crazy when they learnt that their favourite couple was together in real life as well. But, in 2016, the duo decided to part ways. Everyone was curious to know what had transpired, but both of them chose to remain silent over the matter. Now, Ankita Lokhande has finally opened up about the breakup.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actress said that Sushant chose to move on and chose his career over love. She said, “Aaj log mujhko aakar bol rahe hai, ‘Tumne chhoda Sushant ko’ (Today, people are accusing me of dumping Sushant). How do you know that? Nobody knows about my thing. Sushant… I am not blaming anyone here… I think he made his choice very clear. He wanted to go on with his career. He chose his career and he moved on. But for two-and-a-half years, I was dealing with so many things. For me, it was very difficult but my family stood by me. My life was finished. I was just finished. I did not know what to do after that. I am not blaming anyone. He chose his way. I gave him the full right, ‘Chal, yeh teri zindagi hai (it’s your life), you can go on.’ But then, I was battling with something very badly and my family stood by me. I came out very strongly.”

She further added that she had hit a low point and even contemplated ending her life, but her family was her pillar of support. She added, "Aapke dimaag mein cheezein aati hai uss time ki main kya karoon (You are plagued with negative thoughts). Maybe I wanted to finish myself. Woh thought process tab aapka hota hai (You do think of such things at that time) but then I came out of it."

Ankita was heartbroken when she came to know about Sushant's death last year. The actress also faced negativity. In fact, Ankita's boyfriend Vicky Jain was also trolled. But, she sent out a strong message and stood her ground.
