Antim: Shah Rukh Khan, Not Salman Khan, Was The First Choice To Play The Cop In The Aayush Sharma Starrer?

Antim has got all our attention, especially after Salman Khan's look from the film went viral. We just could not get enough of Salman Khan walking in the turban. He would be playing a cop in the film that would have Aayush Sharma playing a gangster. But did you know that Salman wasn't the initial choice for the role. It was none other than Shah Rukh Khan!

Yes, you read that right. In fact, Salman had himself approached the Baadshah of Bollywood with the film, but he had politely turned it down. A source tells Bollywood Hungama, "Although the film has several confrontational scenes between Salman and Aayush's character, this movie is primarily about the latter's life and his journey. Salman's part isn't an extended cameo or a special appearance; the role is much longer than that but he isn't the main hero of the film. It's more like how Shah Rukh Khan’s role was in Dear Zindagi."

Well, he was approached with the film much earlier, and at that point, he had been choosing scripts to mark a dhamakedaar return. In fact, Antim was scheduled to go on floors way before, but the pandemic forced all to change plans. We believe whatever happens is for good, and with Pathan being filmed, we can't really complain, can we?
