Anurag Kashyap Defines Kangana Ranaut's Current Mode As 'If You Are Not With Me You Are My Enemy’

Kangana Ranaut and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap once used to friends and today are at loggerheads on social media while arguing about nepotism in the industry. Kangana called Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker ‘needy outsiders’ and ‘B grade actresses’ on national TV and irked Kashyap who in a series of tweets tried to warn his former friend that she’s being used.

Anurag said he was once a close friend of the Queen actress but fails to recognize this new Kangana. In return, the filmmaker was called ‘mini Mahesh Bhatt’ in a tweet by Kangana’s team. The filmmaker has now in an interview with NDTV revealed that he once tried to play peacemaker between Taapsee and Kangana and the latter went on to put their conversation on Twitter instead.

Kashyap told the channel, “Taapsee is also a friend and I said that two friends are there and why are they saying things to each other… I called her (Kangana) and asked her and she put the whole conversation on social media and I was just there like a friend trying to sort things out.”

Kangana’s rift with Taapsee started after the actress in an interview for her film Manmarziyan laughed at a question about the other and said she needed a ‘double filter’ in the presence of Anurag Kashyap. The filmmaker says that if the interview is what has upset Kangana then he’s will apologize. “I am saying ‘okay, if you are hurt by that, I will apologize for that’. That’s what friends do. But she has gone on to a mode where ‘If (you) are not with me you are my enemy’.”

Both Taapsee and Swara have addressed Kangana’s claims concerning them and the former even accused Kangana and her sister Kangana of harassment in an interview with Hinsustan Times while calling out the actress for discrediting her of her work.
