Anurag Kashyap Receives Death Threats On Twitter, Mumbai Police Jumps Into Action

Whether its with his films or his tweets, Anurag Kashyap always finds himself in the eye of the storm. Recently, the filmmaker was one of the 49 celebrities who wrote a letter to urge him to take action against the mob lynchings and ‘Jai Shree Ram’ becoming a war cry.

In response to Anurag’s tweet about the same, one person wrote that he has recently cleaned his rifle and shotgun and is waiting to meet the ace director soon. Anurag acted promptly to the violent death threat and tagged Mumbai police who immediately jumped to action. In a tweet, the Mumbai Police made it known that cyber police has already been sent the account details and urged the filmmaker to immediately lodge a complaint at his nearest police station.

On the work front, Anurag is producing Saand Ki Aankh next which will be based on two octogenarian sharpshooters and has Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar playing the lead roles.
