Anurag Kashyap Says He Has Seen Kangana Ranaut 'Do Things', Claims She Drank Champagne To Improvise Lines For Queen

Anurag Kashyap opened up about claims circling Bollywood’s drug problems and made many startling revelations related to the industry. The filmmaker while admitting that he has been through a personal phase of chemical drug abuse between 2006 to 2008 when his films failed, revealed that nobody in the industry openly procures or abuses drugs even at parties.

Talking about Kangana’s claims that she was forced to drugs by the ‘movie mafia’ in a phase of low confidence has done ‘things’ he told journalist Faye D’Souza, “I have seen her go through that low phase, where people were not treating her well and she was depressed and there was no sense of confidence and she would do that.  A movie like Queen, she was a great improviser of lines, she needed a little bit of champagne in Europe, to go out and improvise lines and be fully who she was. Nobody judged her and nobody was forcing it on her.”

He added, “She reinvented herself after that but she can’t say somebody forced it on her. I don’t know what happened before but when I have seen all those elements I have not seen anybody force anything on her.”

 "People make their own choices. People make choices in their down moments. People don't know. Yes, one thing is there that when you go around in this industry and you meet somebody. The first time, when I did something, she said, 'This will make you feel good.' But, if somebody says that it will make you feel good you've tried it. After that, it's your own choice."

Kangana Ranaut’s old video had gone viral earlier where she claimed that drugs were forced on her early on in her career, the actress has openly offered her assistance to the Narcotics Control Bureau to bust Bollywood’s drug cartel now.
