Anushka Sharma Roped In To Play Cricketer Jhulan Goswami In Her Biopic?

Bollywood’s biopic game has been going strong for quite some time now. We are all aware that biopics have become a rage by the end of last year and so has sports film. There are quite a few biopic of sportpersons lined up alongside films like Toofan and Maidaan. Now, there is another biopic that has come in the pipeline.

We are talking about the biopic of all rounder and former Indian team Captain Jhulan Goswami. The terrific cricketer from West Bengal is all set to get a biopic which has been tentatively titled ‘Chakdah Express’. And guess what, Anushka Sharma might essay the role of the cricketer in the film.

Anushka Sharma was seen at Mumbai Airport today. According to XtraTime, she was headed to Kolkata. She would go straight to the Eden Garden Stadium and start the practice for the film right away. If the reports do turn out to be true, then we will finally see Anushka on-screen after her hiatus. She has signed no new film after Zero, which released in 2018 December and failed to do well at the bo-office. We wonder if husband Virat Kohli would also help her with the prep!

Currently, the biopic of Mithali Raj is also underway and Taapsee Pannu will essay the role of the cricketer! Will it also mean Anushka V/S Taapsee? We are just waiting for the official statement now and hope it will be announced soon.
