When the news of  Ayushmann Khurrana’s younger brother entering the Bollywood came, we were confused whether to cry nepotism or not. But then again, there is little room for complaint left when an absolute newcomer not only narrates the story of one of India’s biggest blockbuster but also makes his presence felt in a film where legends like Aamir Khan were giving the performance lifetime and others like Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra were giving a performance that catapulted them to instant stardom.

If Aparshakti was a pleasant surprise in Dangal, he was quite the revelation in Sanjeev Sharma’s Saat Uchakkey. In a film full of quirks and brilliantly crafted comedy, he made Khappe stand out in a crowd of actors which included names like Anupam Kher and Manoj Bajpayee.

If there was any doubt in our minds about Dangal being a fluke, Aparshakti has cleared it with his constantly brilliant performance. The best thing about him as an actor is the fact that he does not need a big role to make his presence felt in a movie. Case in point, Badrinath Ki Dulhania. He could have been a character that no one remembered, but from singing bhajans to being the ultimate bumbling fool of a lover to a suppressed son who rather nervously but bravely stands up against the medieval ideas of his father for what is right, Aparshakti showed his range as an actor in a role that gave him probably a screen presence of not more than 10 minutes in the whole film.

Not just films, but Aparshakti has explored his multi faceted talents and a gifted talent for comedy in many videos on digital platforms as well. His video titled ‘If Google Was A Delhi Dude’ is a fine specimen of his exceptional talent to get fine idiosyncrasies right.

In one of his recent releases, Happy Phirr Jayegi, Aparshakti Khurrana probably has a role that can be called an extended cameo, but even there he is the best part about the film where every other aspect of it was crashing and burning with absolute conviction.

It would not be wrong to say that Aparshakti is soon emerging as one of the most bankable supporting actor in films, especially if the role has got anything to do with wit and humor.

In his latest Bollywood outing Stree, Aparshakti finally got role the length of which enabled to him explore a lot and all we can say is there are scenes in the film where we are more enamored by Aparshakti Khurana than Rajkummar Rao. Honestly, we could not have given him a bigger compliment.

While we are totally in awe of Aparshakti as a supporting cast, we would surely like to see him slaying some solo films and if all go well then probably his career in Bollywood would be as good as Ayushmann or even better.
