Apne 2: Karan Deol Has Begun His Boxing Training For The Dharmendra, Sunny And Bobby Starrer

Back in 2019, Sunny Deol’s son Karan Deol made his acting debut with Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. Directed and produced by Sunny, the romantic action film failed to do well at the box office and received mixed reviews. Well, audiences have much higher expectations for his next film, which is a sequel to the 2007 sports drama Apne. Directed by Anil Sharma, it was the first film that brought superstar Dharmendra and his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol together. This time, movie lovers will get to witness three generations of the Deol family shine on the silver screen. Like Sunny and Bobby in Apne, Karan will be portraying the role of a boxer in Apne 2.

In a recent chat with ETimes, the young star kid shared that the film is still in the early stages. He was quoted saying, “I've started my boxing training, and that's a lot of fun. Like I said, as a kid, I always wanted to do a boxing-oriented film. So this is kinda a dream come true moment for me. I really like the training process, it is vigorous, it is intensive, but it gives you a different kind of high like it gives you a different rush that completely drives me. For this role, you have to understand a boxer’s mentality and physique simultaneously. So the physique is one part of it. But when a boxer goes into round 12, or round, 10, you have to conserve your stamina; you can't just go out and do pow-pow.”

He went on to explain, “If you use all your stamina the first time, your opponent will come and knock it out in the second round. You have to study your opponent's movements, his fight style, his strengths and weaknesses. So I'm just kind of actually touching on it and learning everything as possible. It's pretty exciting for me because I'm trying to get into that character's skin at this moment.”
