Arjun Bijlani recalls trying to connect with Sushant Singh Rajput days before his demise: 'I felt that he had disappeared'

It has been an entire year since the tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput and the circumstances leading up to his death still remain shrouded in mystery. Actor Arjun Bijlani who was Sushant’s friend recalls how the late actor had simply disappeared days before his demise and spoke about the last time he tried getting in touch with him.

Arjun hadn’t met Sushant for a while, he had texted the late actor in May nearly two weeks before his death. Talking about it Arjun told ETimes, “I can’t recall when I met him last, but I do remember thinking of him on May 29 last year and messaging him, because I felt that he had disappeared and wanted to know about him. I sent him a text to connect but never received any reply... I remember him as a very emotional and determined guy. A happy and talented guy like Sushant just disappeared from our lives. I pray that wherever he is, he is happy. We miss him a lot.”

Sushant and Arjun used to live in the same apartment building before the former moved to Bandra in 2016. Arjun after Sushant’s demise had shared a screen shot of his last text to him which read, Hope all is well with u’ and spoke about how something was amiss when he didn’t receive a reply.

Sushant died in his Bandra based apartment on June 14. The Central Bureau of Investigation is now in charge of the case and is looking into the circumstances that led to his death.
