Arjun Kapoor To Romance Rakul Preet Singh In An Upcoming Cross Border Comedy-Drama John Abraham To Produce

Arjun Kapoor is set to turn Sada Shiv Rao on the big screen for Ashutosh Gowarikar’s grand period drama, Panipat. But as we still marvel at his look, feel and performance from what can be seen from the trailer, the actor has signed yet another film, and in this one, he would romance Rakul Preet Singh for the first time.

According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the actor has given his nod to this coming-of-age, cross border drama comedy that will be produced by John Abraham, Bhushan Kumar and Nikhil Advani. It will be directed by debutant filmmaker, Keshavie Nair, who is the daughter of One Two Ka Four director, Shashilal K Nair.

Talking about the project, the actor said that he had given his nod the moment the filmmaker had narrated the script to him and felt that this project would be special. , “I have grown up in a joint family so I understood that it’s the biggest pillar of love, strength, and support. That’s the essence of our film, which has its heart in the right place. I’m having a blast even during the prep,” Arjun said.

Nikhil Advani revealed key details about the project and said, “It is a coming-of-age, cross-border love story, beautifully written by Anuja Chauhan, Amitosh Nagpal, and Kaashvie. It will be shot extensively in Punjab and Los Angeles and will feature Arjun and Rakul in never-seen-before avatars. We will be locking the title and the release date soon.”

So how does Arjun feel collaborating with Rakul for the first time? He said, “She is a beautiful, instinctive and generous co-star.”

Apart from this, Arjun would be working on a creature film that will be produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
