    Arjun Kapoor is the latest celebrity to be trolled after a tweet claiming Sushant Singh Rajput was chucked out of the 2017 film Half Girlfriend went viral. There is a lot of hate spewing on Twitter for the actor after a Chetan Bhagat’s old tweet announcing Sushant as the leading man of the film.

    A section of Sushant’s fan base believes that the late actor was a victim of nepotism after reports went viral that he was dropped from several projects last year despite Chhichhore ’s box office success. Demanding justice for the late actor several fans replied to Chetan’s tweet from 2015 that read, “So happy to share @itsSSR will play lead in @mohit11481directed Half Girlfriend. Shooting begins.”

    Half Girlfriend would have been the actor’s second film on a Chetan Bhagat novel after his debut film Kai Po Che but in 2015 itself the late actor in an interview with Mumbai Mirror had confirmed that he had to back out of Half Girlfriend due to date issues.

    He had said, “It's unfortunate. I was excited about working with Ekta (Kapoor) again but the dates didn't work out. The team wanted the same dates as that of Dinu's (Dinesh Vijan) film, which I'm doing next. Since I had committed dates for it long ago, I didn't have an option but to pull out of Mohit's project.”

    The movie Sushant walked out on half Girlfriend for was Raabta .

    It was after Sushant’s exit that Arjun Kapoor was approached who had previously also starred in a Chetan Bhagat story, 2 States and the makers proceed with the film.
