Aryan Khan drugs case: Shah Rukh Khan's son bail order states no evidence of conspiracy found against starlet

The biggest news last month was the cruise ship drug controversy. The Narcotics Control Bureau had raided a cruise ship in Mumbai that was bound for Goa and found drugs on the ship. The matter escalated when Shah Rukh Khan's elder son, Aryan Khan was spotted at the same cruise party. He was taken to custody by the NCB and was kept there for close to a month. He was later given bail when the matter escalated to the Bombay High Court. Now, the BHC released an order today that Aryan, along with co-accused Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha said that no evidence of drug controversy was found.

In the order, the court stated, "There is hardly any positive evidence on record to convince this Court that all the accused persons with common intention agreed to commit an unlawful act. Merely because Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha were travelling in the same cruise, that by itself cannot be a foundation for the charge of conspiracy against them.”

Talking to TOI, Justice Sambre said, “There is absence of material on record of them having such meeting of minds with other Accused who were named in the offence in question. Case of the prosecution that Applicants have admitted to commit an offence also amounts to an offence under the NDPS Act. Even if it is appreciated, the maximum punishment prescribed is not more than one year for such offence. Applicants have already suffered incarceration for almost 25 days.’’

Aryan Khan has been maintaining a low profile ever since he returned home from Arthur Road Jail. He has also been visiting the NCB office every Friday to register his attendance. We hope now his name would be cleared.
