Atrangi Re: Akshay Kumar Confirms Being A Part Of Aanand L. Rai's Film Starring Sara Ali Khan And Dhanush

Just yesterday Aanand L Rai's upcoming project starring Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush got it's title. Called Atrangi Re, the film already sounded quirky. And now, the filmmaker has confirmed that Akshay Kumar, who was in talks for the project, has given his nod and will be a part of it. Akshay Kumar too spoke about the project for which he is rumoured to be taking home Rs. 120 crores. 

Talking to Bombay Times, Khiladi Kumar said, "I am thrilled to be working with Aanand L Rai, as I have always admired the way he has showcased his stories. When he narrated the film to me, I said ‘yes’ within 10 minutes. It is a challenging character to play, but at the same time, it is such a special role that my heart just couldn’t say ‘no’ to it. I will remember it for the rest of my life. My combination with Sara and Dhanush truly makes it true to its title — Atrangi! And I know that Aanand, in his special and simple way of storytelling, will only add magic to it. As I said, my heart just couldn’t let this one go."

Aanand L Rai called him a secure actor and said,  "It takes a secure actor like Akshay to do such a role. He has been pushing the envelope and is always up for challenges."

He is also sure about Sara and Dhanush pairing. Talking about it, the Ranjhaana director said, "Their pairing is interesting and exciting. Fans will love the freshness these two will bring on the big screen."

Atrangi Re isall set to go on floors from 1st March 2020 and will release on 14th February, 2021. This will be Dhanush's third Bollywood film after Ranjhaana and Shamitabh. Sara will be seen in Love Aaj Kal and Coolie No. 1 and is also in talks for Kaminey 2. Akshay Kumar will be seen in Sooryavanshi, Laxxmi Bomb, Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey and Bell Bottom.
