Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat to lock horns in Aanand L. Rai's upcoming film 'Action Hero'?

Aanand L Rai is awaiting the release of his upcoming film, Atrangi Re and had been shooting Raksha Bandhan with Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar. But looks like he has yet another project ready for which the casting has also begun. The film has reportedly been titled 'Action Hero' and promises to bring together Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat.

If a report in Peepingmoon is to be believed, then Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat would be locking horns in the film. A source was quoted saying, "It's set in the mainstream space but yet is very different from the regular masala action movies. Ayushmann is gradually trying to change his image and exploring different genres to prove his versatility as an actor, and this action film is going to be the starting point towards that. The actor will be seen in a distinct look in this film and will undergo rigorous physical training before its principal photography begins later this year. It's Jaideep Ahlawat playing the villain and Ayushmann must build up to look believable against him."

The film would be under Rai's banner and would be directed by Anirudh Iyer Ganapathy who had assisted him in films like Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Zero. The film was to be shot in US, but the makers are now considering shooting it in the UK. The film will also have a talented bunch of actors in the supporting roles.
