Ayushmann Khurrana To Perform Intimate Gay Scenes With Jitender Kumar In Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

In the film Dream Girl, Ayushmann played a man who seduces other men through his voice. Well, he speaks in the voice of a woman! And in his next project Shubh Mangala Zyada Saavdhan, Ayushmann has taken it a step ahead! Well, the actor will be portraying the character of a gay man who not just comes out of the closet but is also unapologetic about it. And he also wants to get married to his lover.

The partner in this unabashed gay comic flick will be played by TVF fame Jitendra Kumar. According to sources close to Bollywood Hungama, the gay angle wouldn’t be dealt in an apologetic or hesitant manner. The report further quotes the source as saying, “Unlike Onir’s brave My Brother Nikhil where no intimacy was shown between the gay partner Sanjay Suri and Purab Kohli, in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan there will be many intimate moments between Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar. This would be the first gay love story of Indian cinema where the central relationship would not accentuate the gender of the lover.” 

Well, the audiences have seen Ayushmann and loved him in all sorts of character which have a sexual connotation to them. In Vicky Donor, the actor played the character of a sperm donor, In Shubh Mangala Saavdhan, he played a man who suffers from erectile dysfunction, In the film Badhaai Ho, he played the son who is faced with the pregnancy of his mother and in Dream Girl he played a crossdressing man who is a phone sex-worker!

Deliberating on the act of kissing a man, Ayushmann said, “It would be no different to kissing a female co-star.”
