Ayushmann Khurrana's backup plan if he failed at acting: "I could sing at birthdays, I'd dance, I'd entertain people somehow"

Ayushmann Khurrana has become one of the biggest names of Bollywood, who has created a niche with himself with content-driven films. But, while his debut film was a huge hit, the consecutive films failed to do well at the box office. And Ayushmann had even thought of a backup plan if he failed to make a cut in Bollywood.

Talking to Arbaaz Khan's talk show, Pinch, Ayushmann Khurrana said that there was a time when he had really thought that he would go back to Chandigarh. He had also released at autobiography early on in his career and people had criticised him for that. Addressing the matter, he said, "After my first film, I starred in three back-to-back flops. People had written me off, and I was ready to move back to Chandigarh. I was going through a phase where I had time on my hands to write a book, so I wrote it."

He added, "But now I'm at a stage where I don't have time to write a book, and work is also going well. Nothing was working out at that time. I had to do something to make it work. I had a band, named Ayushmann Bhava; I used to do concerts. I thought even if my films don't work, I could sing at birthdays, I'd dance, I'd entertain people somehow, I'd write a book. I was thinking of all the things I could do if my films don't work. You just need to make it work somehow, that's an artist's job."

Ayushmann has dabbled in a lot of jobs. He had participated in Roadies and turned out to be a runner-up. He has been a radio jockey and a TV actor before he stepped into Bollywood. He will next be seen in Doctor G and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.
