Bachchan Pandey: Kriti Sanon Talks About Playing A Director In The Akshay Kumar Starrer

The gorgeous Kriti Sanon is one of the most sought-after actresses of the Hindi film industry. The talented beauty, who was last seen in Ashutosh Gowariker's period drama Panipat, is currently busy juggling three much anticipated projects- Bachchan Pandey co-starring Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez, Bhediya opposite Varun Dhawan and Om Raut’s Adipurush with Prabhas. Her Bhediya character is under wraps and she will be seen as Sita in Adipurush. Meanwhile, Kriti’s character in Bachchan Pandey is different from anything she’s done before.

The actress will be playing the role of a filmmaker in Farhad Samji’s action comedy. Talking about the same to Mid Day, Kriti shared, “Playing a director is interesting and something I’ve never done before.” She went on to add, “It is a lot of fun to be in the creative space of a director and truly feel what is running in his/her head. There is a lot to learn [about the] character [and channel] her strength. I play a Mumbai girl, who is used to making her own decisions.”

While Kriti has a lot of experience in front of the camera, this is the first time she will be behind it! The actress shared that she has about a week’s schedule left, which will be filmed in Mumbai, but otherwise a major chunk of Bachchan Pandey has been wrapped up. It is expected to hit theatres in January next year. Other than these three projects, Kriti will also star in Mimi and Hum Do Hamare Do opposite Rajkummar Rao.
