Badhaai Ho 2: Ayushmann Khurrana To Be Replaced By Rajkummar Rao In The Sequel?

Ayushmann Khurrana scored the ball outside the park with Badhaai Ho. The film, which dealt with late parenthood, was not just a total entertainer, but also an eye opener for the audiences. The film also stands as a proof that Indian audiences had opened its arms to content and was Ayushmann’s highest grosser ever, till Dream Girl released. Audiences have now been waiting for a sequel of the film.

Well, we have a good and a bad news about it! The good news is that a sequel is indeed on the cards but the bad news is that Ayushmann Khurrana might not be a part of it. But fret not, Rajkummar Rao would play the lead.

According to a report in Spotboye, Rajkummar Rao has been approchaed for the sequel of Badhaai Ho. It has also been said that the film will have a new director as well. It would be directed by none other than Harshvardhan Kulkarni, who had earlier directed Hunterr starring Gulshan Devaiah, Radhika Apte and Sai Tamhankar. The details about the lead actress is not out yet.

Well, Badhaai Ho had created a benchmark in Indian cinema and only time will tell if the sequel would be as fun as the first one. But one thing is for sure, Rajkummar Rao would give his best shot and the film would be a treat to watch. It was earlier said that Rajkummar Rao and Ayushamann would share screen after Bareily Ki Barfi in Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan but that did not fall through.
