Badhaai Ho Director Amit Sharma, Actor Gajraj Rao Extend Financial Aid For Veteran Actress Surekha Sikri’s Treatment

Actress Surekha Sikri, who was last seen on the big screen as the adorable daadi in super hit film Badhaai Ho, suffered a brain stroke on Tuesday afternoon and was rushed to Juhu's Criti Care Hospital. The actress’ agent had stated that she was in the ICU, critical but stable. Her nurse revealed that due to her financial condition, she was unable to get the veteran actress admitted to any other hospital. But she later shared that they took the required amount from Surekha ji’s fixed deposit and they don’t need help anymore.

According to latest reports, Badhaai Ho director Amit Sharma and actor Gajraj Rao have extended financial aid to the actress. Talking to Times of India, her on-screen son Gajraj shared, “Both Amit Sharma, the Badhaai Ho director, and I are in touch with Surekha ji’s secretary Vivek and yes, we are all there with her and we’ll extend all help we can, to her.”

Filmmaker Amit also stated, “I am in Goa, but I have been in touch with her family.” He went on to add, “I have not spoken to anyone else, but people who are close to her- her family, nurse and manager. I will be doing my best to provide any kind of help that would be needed and I don’t think there would be any financial obstacles in her treatment.”
