Baiju Bawra: Ranveer Singh And Priyanka Chopra To Come Together For Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Magnum Opus?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is right now the talk of the town. The director, who had created grandeur of another level altogether with Padmaavat, will strike back with two back to back films. He will collaborate with Alia Bhatt for the first time in Gangubai Kathiawadai, which will release next year. After that, he is all set to focus on his dream project, the magnum opus, Baiju Bawra.

Since Baiju Bawra is Bhansali’s dream project, we just can’t wait to know who would be a part of this epic musical revenge drama. Speculations were that Ajay Devgn might play a part in the film, but looks like he has chosen Gangubai Kathiadwadi over the film. And now, we get to hear that Bajirao Mastani pair, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra, might come together once again for Baiju Bawra!

Yes, you read that right. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the titular role has been offered to Bhansali’s golden boy, Ranveer Singh. It was also reported that the role of Tansen was given to Ajay Devgn, which he turned down. A source close to the director said that no one can bring the passion and intensity required for the titular character better than Ranveer Singh!

The leading lady’s name too is coming forward, and it can be Ranveer’s Bajirao co-star, Priyanka Chopra. A source said,

"If Ranveer gives his nod to the movie, it will be again another challenging role for him as he will need some training and knowledge as a singer and musician. It will be interesting to see who plays his romantic interest – will it be Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra? Priyanka holds an edge as she’s an internationally acclaimed singer in her own right."

It was earlier said that Priyanka was also being considered for Inshallah but her name was dropped after her fallout with Salman Khan when she walked out of Bharat! Well, now that Inshallah isn’t happening, we hope Priyanka and Bhansali collaborate together!
