    Balaji Telefilms Files Police Complaint After A Fake Casting Agent Asks A Netizen To Die While Posing To Work For Ekta Kapoor

    Fake casting calls have already becoming a menace in the entertainment industry during the lockdown as many cases of fake casting calls have cropped up so far with many producers issuing warnings against casting calls being made in their name. Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms is the latest in the row to issue a clarification after a netizen was asked to die after failing to submit an audition.

    Sharing screenshots of the chat the user question Balaji about their casting agents. In the chat the supposed agent abuses the person after her boyfriend allegedly failed to turn in an audition and said that Ekta Kapoor would ensure he’s banned. The message also said that such actor’s should commit suicide and Sushant Singh Rajput should return.

    Balaji responded to the user stating that the agent was in no way associated with the banner and that a police complaint has been filed against the imposter against them as aspiring actors receive such harassing messages. The tweet by the banner asked the user to not entertain such messages.

    Their reponse read, “We, at Balaji Telefims Ltd, would like to state that the said person who has sent this message is a fraudulent individual, who is posing to be our casting agent and sending extremely poor in taste communication to aspiring actors. We are neither associated with her in any capacity nor do we know this person. As soon as we were intimated about this matter, yesterday, we filed a police complaint with the authorities at Amboli Police Station against the said individual. We request you not to entertain such imposters.”

    Previously TV actor Namish Taneja too complaint about receiving such messages for Naagin 5 auditions and was later abused and asked to commit suicide.
