Since a pretty long time rumors have been doing the rounds about superstar Aamir Khan’s son Junaid’s acting debut in Bollywood. While it was earlier reported that he may enter the land of cinema with Malayalam romantic thriller Ishq’s Hindi remake, latest buzz is that he was unfortunately not selected during auditions. He has been auditioning for many projects while simultaneously acting in theatre plays. It is also being suggested that he will most probably be launched by Yash Raj Films.

Well, the latest report in ETimes has revealed that Ritwik Bhowmik, who recently won hearts with Amazon Prime Video’s web show Bandish Bandits, may play the lead role in Ishq’s Hindi remake. The film in question will be directed by Shashant Shah and produced by Neeraj Pandey. They were reportedly blown away by Ritwik’s spectacular performance, just like the audience. Talking about the film, a source was quoted saying, “The film may not be an exact replica of the Malayalam one. However, all those details are being still worked out which includes the modalities.”

Ritwik played the role of Radhe Rathod in Bandish Bandits, co-starring Shreya Chaudhry, Naseeruddin Shah, Atul Kulkarni and Sheeba Chaddha among others. The powerful story-line and the star cast turned out to be a dynamic combination.
