Before Marrying Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Made A ‘Pros And Cons’ List: No One Can Say I Didn't Know What I Was Getting Into

Twinkle Khanna may have taken on the mantle of being Mrs. Funny Bones in 2015 but the former actress seems to have had the intelligent and witty charm working in her favour for years. Even before marrying Akshay Kumar the actress had done some homework and had the quirkiest way of telling that story.

You might famously know that the actress was quite certain that her film Mela would be a box office wonder but after the film tanked Twinkle agreed to marry Akshay Kumar. However, it wasn’t just Mela’s box office fate that was on the line for their wedding to take place. Twinkle Karan Johar’s famous Koffee couch once with Akshay and revealed that she had drawn up a pros and cons list about Akshay list all the advantages and disadvantages of marrying him.

She revealed during the chat, “So I had all the advantages on one side and all the disadvantages on the other. There were 2 disadvantages that have stayed the same and there were 8 advantages that stayed the same. So no one can say that I didn't know what I was getting into.”

To top it all she also had a genetic chart prepared to know about all the health problems that might run in the family, “The reason you get married is primarily to have children. Now which means that you are introducing this genetic strain into your family line.” 

Talking about the genetic chart Twinkle had explained, “So, I wanted to know what are the diseases running in his family... you know at what age do uncles in his family lose their hair.. What did aunt Kanchan die of? So I would keep asking him all this and he probably thought I'm very concerned about his family.”

To Akshay’s good fortune he passed the test and got married to Twinkle 17 January 2001.
