Bell Bottom: Akshay Kumar Starrer Espionage Drama Postponed, To Now Release On This Date

Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor starrer Bell Bottom is one of the first Indian films to have successfully completed a foreign shoot after the pandemic. The crew managed to wrap it up after a start-to-finish schedule in the UK and the new release date was also shared. However, it now looks like the release of the film has been postponed.

A report in Bollywood Hungama states that the film, which was to hit the screens in April this year, will now release in June. And the reason is Akshay's other film, Sooryavanshi. A source told the portal, “The makers have decided to now delay the film by two months and bring it in June. The primary reason for the delay has got to do with the fact that Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi is looking to release in the one-month window of March 15 to April 15. It would be stupid to bring two Akshay Kumar films in a span of 30 days on the big screen, particularly in between this pandemic.”

It has also been reported that the film will be completely ready by mid-February. Given the number of films Akshay Kumar has signed and shot, we will be watching him a lot over the big screens this year! The film would be an espionage drama set in 1the 1980s and Akshay will play a spy. It also stars Vaani Kapoor and Lara Dutta.
