Bell Bottom: Lara Dutta impresses netizens as former PM Indira Gandhi; fan wants makeup artist to get national award

The much awaited trailer of spy thriller Bell Bottom was finally unveiled by the team yesterday. Starring Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi, the Ranjit M Tewari directorial is inspired from real life hijacking events in 1980s in India. While Akshay’s performance, dialogue delivery and chemistry with Vaani won hearts, it was Lara who stole the show. She looks unrecognizable as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and netizens can’t wait to see her on the big screen when the film premieres in theatres this month.

After Lara blew netizens away, many fans took to their social media handles to applaud her makeup artist for the spectacular job done. While one netizen wrote: “We can laud #LaraDutta basis her performance once the movie is released. But for time being can we appreciated and provide some recognition to the make up artist who did this phenomenal transformation”, another fan tweeted: “Give this makeup artist a national award in advance.. Did anyone noticed?? She is #laradutta. Phenomenal work #BellBottomTrailer.”

Lara was last seen on Ruchi Narain, Ashutosh Shah and Taher Shabbir’s action comedy series Hundred, alongside Sairat fame Rinku Rajguru. While Rinku portrayed the role of a girl who has just 100 days to live, Lara beautifully played a cop who aspired to be like James Bond in the show.

After her terrific performance in the series, we are eagerly looking forward to her portrayal of Indira Gandhi in Bell Bottom!
