Bell Bottom: Nikkhil Advani Opens Up About The Akshay Kumar Starrer Releasing On OTT; Here's What He Said...

Reports had been doing the rounds today that Akshay Kumar's upcoming film, Bell Bottom will follow Laxmmi's lead and release directly on OTT. While there has been no official statement about it yet, the film's co-producer Nikkhil Advani opened up about it in a recent interview.

Talking to Bollywood Hungama, Nikkhil revealed that the talks are on. He said, “I believe it is being considered. But the final monetizing lies with Pooja Entertainment.”

Bell Bottom was the first film to be shot in a foreign location post the lockdown caused by coronavirus. It was finished in a start-to-finish schedule. The film's release date had changed many times, and last it was scheduled to release on 28th May. It is being said that Disney+ Hotstar might be buying the streaming rights of the film, and Amazon Prime had also been competing for the deal. It is also being said that the former had offered a whopping amount to acquire it and thus locked the coveted deal. The film will have Akshay Kumar play a spy and would be against the backdrop of the 1971 war. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi. It has been directed by Ranjit M Tewari.
