Bhagyashree Remembers How Overwhelmed She Was Post Maine Pyar Kiya; Opens Up About Her Comeback

The gorgeous Bhagyashree left the audience stunned with her performance in her debut film Maine Pyar Kiya, directed by Sooraj Barjatya. Her on-screen chemistry with Salman Khan and her innocent smile won many hearts and fans eagerly waited for her to shine on the big screen once again. However, Bhagyashree had a different plan for life and decided to pursue her dreams instead of a career in films. While the audience was heartbroken back then, fans will be glad to know that the beauty will soon make a Bollywood comeback.

While Salman Khan did not get any offers for almost a year after the film’s release, Bhagyashree became an overnight sensation. Talking about the same in a chat with Pinkvilla, the actress revealed that she wasn’t expecting it at all and was very unprepared. She shared, “When the postman used to come with sacks of letters during Diwali or birthdays when the entire building's staircase would be lined by flowers. People have written letters in blood, which was shocking. For a 19 year old, it was all too overwhelming. There are people who cannot handle success and there are people who run away from it.”

Bhagyashree also shared that she wasn’t very confident back then and was dealing with a lot of self-doubt. In fact, she kept asking herself if this is all for real! But she had her priorities set and wanted a fairytale life with a happy family, a house and kids. She tied the knot with the love of her life Himalaya Dasani and the two soon became proud parents to actor Abhimanyu Dasani and the beautiful Avantika Dasani.

Currently the beauty has two exciting films in her kitty. She will be sharing the screen with Kangana Ranaut in Thalaivi and will also be seen in Prabhas 20. Talking about the same, Bhagyashree shared, “So, both Prabhas 20 and Thalaivi came around the same time. Previously, I had signed a film - the Telugu version of 2 States - which I was shooting, but the producers had some issue and the film was stalled. I was playing Revathy's part from the original in the Telugu remake. During that same time, these two films happened. I play two spectacular characters in both the films. For Prabhas 20, I have learnt a new skill set which I'm sure will surprise a lot of people. Also, in Thalaivi, I play a very special role, but I can't reveal it yet. I have shot a little bit of it and it was wonderful.”

Bhagyashree also revealed that her co-star Kangana kept asking her why she left the industry after getting so much stardom and love from the audience.
