Bharat Director Ali Abbas Zafar Reveals Wife Alicia Had Danced With Disha In The Film, Opens Up About Why He Married Suddenly

Director Ali Abbas Zafar seems to be having a great time in both his professional and personal life. On the work front, he is awaiting the release of the web-series Tandav and in his personal life, he finally took the big step and married Alicia. Now, in a recent interview, he has opened up about how he met Alicia and why he decided to marry so suddenly.

Talking to ETimes, he revealed that Alicia had danced along with Disha Patanni for Bharat's song Slow Motion. He said, "I got to know her during 'Tiger Zinda Hai'. After that, I kept pursuing her to marry me; she said 'yes' only last year."

Talking about the wedding, he said, "Mom and Dad had tested COVID positive, so I had to bring the marriage date ahead. They are growing old and wanted me to get married. Otherwise the wedding was planned for 2022... I introduced her to my mother on Christmas, 2020 and the marriage took place on January 3, 2021, at my Dehradun house. It was a very private affair. My brother who stays in London could not attend due to the pandemic but we ensured that he got to witness it online."
