Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2: Anees Bazmee Reveals Why Akshay’s Cameo Is Not Possible In The Kartik Aaryan Starrer

Back in 2007, Akshay Kumar left us in splits along with goosebumps with his horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which also featured Shiney Ahuja, Vidya Balan and Ameesha Patel. Well 13 years later, Bollywood’s heartthrob Kartik Aaryan is all set to impress the audience with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, co-starring Kiara Advani and Tabu. The standalone sequel is being directed by Anees Bazmee and is produced by Bhushan Kumar. While the audience patiently waits for the release date, there’s one question that is on everyone’s mind-- Will Akshay be seen in a cameo?

Much to our delight, the director finally answered this very question in his latest interview. But we are sure it’s going to leave fans heartbroken. In his chat with Spotboye, Bazmee shared, “Akshay is a very big and very busy star. To justify his presence in a cameo is not possible. I don’t think we will be able to accommodate him. But I am sure he wishes us all the best.” Talking about the lead pair, he said, “Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani look terrific together. A fresh pair and that too a good-looking one is a big plus.”

The filmmaker also clarified that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is not a sequel to Akshay’s 2007 film. He stated that the story is totally different and aside from the title and two songs, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is completely original. Well, we are quite excited to see how the film turns out!
