Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Shoot Comes To A Halt After Kartik Aaryan Tests COVID-19 Positive; Anees Bazmee Is Shocked

When the nationwide lockdown finally ended, many Bollywood actors returned to work. However, Kartik Aaryan chose to be careful and resumed shoot only after the COVID-19 curve in India flattened considerably. He was also extra careful on sets. Sadly, he tested positive for the virus yesterday and took to his social media handle to announce the same. He shared, “Positive ho gaya, Dua karo.” With the male lead in quarantine, the shoot of his upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has come to an abrupt halt.

In a chat with Pinkvilla post the report went viral, director Anees Bazmee shared that he was surprised to learn about Kartik’s test result as the actor was quite careful on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 sets. He was quoted saying, “I am really shocked that Kartik tested positive for Covid-19 as he would always take so many precautions. Even on the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 set, we would all be very careful, follow all the guidelines and take the test every two days. As of now, I don’t have any clarity on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’s shoot. We’ll start filming for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 once Kartik completely recovers. For now, I would like to wish him a speedy recovery.”

While Kiara Advani and Kartik had resumed shooting a while ago, their co-star Tabu joined them recently and made sure to maintain social distance even on set. In fact, she brought her own bio bubble to the set. The actresses will now reportedly get tested for coronavirus along with the filmmaker.
