Back in 2012, if anyone would have told us that a Karan Johar production would share the title with a Ram Gopal Varma film, we would have just laughed at the person.  Karan and Ram Gopal Varma engaged in a long-lasting Twitter battle when RGV tweeted that he wants to remake Ravaan and wants to name it ‘My Name Is Raavan’ taking a sly dig at Karan Johar 2009 film ‘My Name Is Khan’. Never the one to be bogged down, Karan Johar tweeted back ‘ Great sense of humor Ramu.  Doesn’t show up your films though.’ With this the world witnessed one of the most epic celebrity Twitter battle in Bollywood in ever.

However, 7 years since the incident, looks like the water is really under the bridge. Dharma Productions’ next horror film starring Vicky Kaushal has been titled as ‘Bhoot’ which was the title of the 2003 superhit horror flick starring Urmila Matondkar and Ajay Devgn that was directed and produced by Ram Gopal Varma. So how much pain did Karan Johar had to go through to get the title for his film? Well, it turns out none.

Talking about his experience, Karan Johar said, “We made an unreasonable request to Ramu, asking him for his franchise title BHOOT and he graciously and magnanimously agreed to give it to us without even blinking an eyelid. All of us at Dharma are blown away by his generosity and are eternally grateful to him. We aspire to make sure the title is in the right hands of horror.”

Not just, Varma also re-tweeted the first look of the film from his Twitter handle. Vicky Kaushal also thanked the director for his generous gesture.

Karan has talked about his feud with RGV even in his biography ‘An Unsuitable Boy’ where he has claimed that everything is fine between them. But despite that we were a pleasantly surprised to see the generous manner in which RGV has responded and we hope more and more people in Bollywood end their feuds the way these two did.
