Fans were over the moon with joy when Ajay Devgn announced that his much-awaited film Bhuj: The Pride Of India will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on 13th August. He shared a motion poster which left us intrigued. Much to our delight, the trailer was dropped today and it is even better than what we expected! Co-starring Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar and Ammy Virk, the film celebrates 50 years of India’s 1971 victory. Well, not only will the trailer leave you with goosebumps, but will also bring out the patriot in you.

Set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, Bhuj: The Pride Of India takes us back to the time when IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, portrayed by Ajay in the film, reconstructed the IAF airbase in Bhuj with a team of 300 women from the local village. The dialogues are on-point and watching Ajay in his serious avatar will leave you even more excited for the film. Sonakshi and Sanjay’s performances are impressive and leave you wanting more, but it’s Nora who steals the show with her intense character. While the trailer is full of emotion and is extremely overwhelming to watch, it’s the VFX work that deserves a special mention here. The industry has come a long way!

Bhuj: The Pride Of India was slated for a theatrical release in 2020. However, the coronavirus pandemic affected the production and the team later decided to take the digital route. The cinematic experience would have definitely been wonderful if the film arrived on the big screen. But we couldn’t have been happier about watching the premiere from the comfort of our homes in these troubled times. Are you looking forward to this exciting ride?
