Bhumi Pednekar To Play The Titular Character In Bhaagamathie’s Remake, Durgavati; Akshay Kumar Makes Announcement!

Akshay Kumar might have as many as six upcoming films, but this is not deterring him from associating with more Hindi cinema. Yes, he will be a part of yet another film. But before you think that he would go breathless acting in another film again, let us just clarify that this time, he will only be a presenter.  His production house, Cape Of Good Films, along with Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, is all set to present the official Hindi remake of the Telugu film Bhaagamathie, that had Anushka Shetty in the lead.

Titled Durgavati, the film will have Bhumi Pednekar as the titular character. Akshay took to social media to make the announcement. He also wrote that it will be a scary thriller. Here’s what he posted:

Isn’t that really exciting? Bhumi Pednekar will have quite a few releases in the coming years. She will be seen in Pati, Patni Aur Woh that would release on 6^th December this year. She will have a cameo in Vicky Kaushal starrer Bhoot Part 1: The Haunted Ship. Apart from that, she will be seen alongside Konkona Sensharma in Alankrita Shrivastav’s Dolly, Kitty Aur Unke Chamakte Sitaare and will be a part of Karan Johar’s multi-starrer period drama, Takht.
