Amitabh Bachchan Pays Off The Outstanding Loans of 2,100 Farmers From Bihar

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s generosity towards farmers knows no bounds as the Piku actor has once again helped over two thousand farmers to clear off their bank loans. The actor wrote on his blog that it was a promise he once made and has now fulfilled, "A promise made done... the farmers from Bihar that had outstanding loans, picked 2100 of them and paid off their amount with an OTS (One Time Settlement) with the Bank called some of them over to Janak and personally gave it to them at the hands of Shweta and Abhishek.”

This is however not the first time that Amitabh Bachchan came out in support of poor farmers. Just last year the actor had cleared loans of over a thousand farmers of Uttar Pradesh and won over millions of hearts with his charitable attitude.

That is not all though the actor also mentioned that he has another promise to complete. "To the family and wives of the brave hearts that sacrificed their lives for the country, at Pulwama, a small gesture of financial aid .. true ‘shaheeds'," he wrote on his blog.

On the work front Big B has multiple film releases lined up in this year and the next including Gulabo Sitabo with Aayushman Khuarrana, Chehre with Emraan Hasmi and Bramhastra which also stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
