Big B’s Iconic Film Shahenshah To Be Remade; Confirms Producer And Actor Tinnu Anand

We have reached a point in the Hindi Film industry now where not just regional films but old Bollywood films and classics are being reworked on. The remakes are raging Bollywood. Starting from Judwaa to Pati Patni Aur Woh or the upcoming Coolie No 1, remakes are doing well at the box-office as well, compelling producers to churn more such films. Now, we have news that yet another yesteryear hit is all set to be remade and it is none other than Amitabh Bachchan starrer Shahenshah.

The news has been confirmed by none other than Tinu Anand who will be producing the film. Talking to Spotboye, the actor and the producer said, “Yes, I will remake Shahenshah. But let this Coronavirus attack end first. It's on our heads and hence I cannot tell when I shall start and release the remake. When asked about why he chose to remake this film, he said, “Why not, you don’t know what it gave us.” He is also keen to remake it since it had been over 30 years since it had been released.

Shahenshah starred Amitabh Bachchan, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Prem Chopra, Amrish Puri, Kader Khan, Pran, Rohini Hattangadi, Supriya Pathak and Vijayendra Ghatge in key roles and was directed by Tinnu Anand. Tinnu also co-produced the film.
