Bigg Boss 15 to premiere on OTT first; audience will have a say in tasks and eliminations

After an incredibly successful 13^th and 14^th season of Bigg Boss, fans are now eagerly waiting for superstar and host Salman Khan to announce Bigg Boss season 15. A list of tentative contestants has gone viral on the internet and many celebrities have given their official statement as well. According to latest buzz, the 15^th season of the controversial reality show is all set to go on floors in the month of August. While an exact date has not been reported yet, it was being said that the show will premiere on a digital platform before the television.

Well, in a report shared by Mid Day, Voot Select head Ferzad Palia confirmed the news about the digital premiere and stated, “Bigg Boss has grown to become India’s biggest entertainment property. The launch of Bigg Boss OTT on our platform is another step towards solidifying our ‘Digital First’ approach. We are confident that our subscribers will enjoy our 24-hour live feeds, interactivity and gaming.” A source also revealed that the reality show will premiere on TV around six weeks after the original air.

The source was further quoted saying, “The platform will be able to increase its user base drastically. Secondly, the show will be far more interactive. The junta factor will give the common man the powers to hand-pick the contestants, and have a say in their tasks and exit from the show.”
